Iran Started Issuing Electronic Visa
According to the government bill, issuance of electronic visa for travelers to Iran must officially start in six months from now. Tehran, Shiraz, and Mashhad international airports also consulate of Iran in Afghanistan and UAE are using electronic visa process right now.
Electronic visa takes a significantly shorter time to be processed and edited. Also different stages of the visa can be viewed at any moment.
At Iran Tourism Seminar held by Iranian Tour Operators Association “ITOA” at Tehran Parsian Evin Hotel, Hassan Ghashghavi Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran announced Iran electronic visa process is being tested by a tour operator now to detect and solve the problems. Iran Doostan Tours Co (IDT), holding the title of the best tour operator of Iran for five years, was elected by Iran Ministry of Foreign Affairs as one of the professional and reliable tour operators to start using this online service. After testing all the aspects of online visa by IDT, problems and errors will be resolved and all other tour operators of Iran will attain visas online.
Ghashghavi said after passing the pilot phase tourists will be able to obtain their Iran visa online which will take less than a minute.
