A Window to the Skies
This journey opens a window to the vast sky of one of the most ancient civilizations on our blue planet. The tour starts from Shiraz, the city of ancient palaces, gardens and poems. In Shiraz, after walking through Vakil Bazaar with alluring old shops, caravanserais and bath houses, we will see the two most magnificent gardens, Narenjestan and Eram (one of the nine Persian Gardens inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage List) Gardens, and Hafiz and Saadi Tombs, the two great Persian poets of all time. At night, we will enjoy magic moments of observing the sky full of shining stars in Aboreyhan Observatory. On our way to Isfahan, we will visit Persepolis, (UNESCO World Heritage), the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire, Naqsh-e Rostam and Pasargadae (UNESCO World Heritage), capital of the Cyrus the Great.
In Isfahan, registered as global city of Handicrafts, we will go to Naqsh-e Jahan Square (UNESCO World Heritage) to see the most splendid Safavid mosques, bazaar and palace around the square, such as Jame Mosque (UNESCO World Heritage). At night, visiting Adib Astronomy Teaching center will be the beginning of our unique experience of stargazing in the vast clear sky of the desert on Matinabad, the first and only Eco-resort in Iran. Enjoy its spectacular scenery and organic food; a combination of astronomical experience and dreamy night in the desert. On our way back to Tehran, we will visit Fin Garden in Kashan, another Persian Garden registered on UNESCO World Heritage List. In Tehran, we will visit Qajar Golestan Palace (UNESCO World Heritage) and as soon as the magic of Tehran night begins, we will visit Zaferaniyeh Observatory. We will end our astronomy tour by going to the Abdolazim Observatory.
